Jud’s Headshot Day is SUPER convenient. Entire process took less than 20 minutes and I had about 40 images to pick from. The finished headshots are fantastic. I’ve updated all of my social media accounts and I’m using them for my business.

My new headshots are awesome. I had a bunch of different poses to choose from and Jud sent me the images the next day. PERFECT !!!!!

My headshots from Jud’s Headshot Day are fantastic. It was an easy process and I finally got some current headshots.

Jud is the best photographer in the history of photographers!!!!

Jud's mother

Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and thanks to Jud we have amazing photographs that completely capture the love and joy we felt on that day. I can’t recommend him enough. My husband and I were looking for something very specific – real photos that captured the real feelings and real moments of our wedding day. Sure we wanted some posed pictures and portraits but the pictures we wanted most (and the ones that Jud delivered that blew us away) were the candids. We interviewed half a dozen photographers and none of them put us at ease the way that Jud did – I realized as soon as I talked with him that he was the only person I completely trusted to capture our most important day.

Jud was professional, easy to work with, and very flexible. He listened super well – taking into account our needs and schedule for the day, and adjusting the timing and setup of the photography accordingly. Jud was also very comfortable coordinating with our venue, having shot a wedding at Fauquier Springs Country Club before (Warrenton, Va.). He also set up a photo booth for the reception, which our guests loved. One thing Jud did very well was blend in. He was never a disruption during the ceremony, and during the reception, most guests weren’t aware they were being photographed. He was super active. He seemed to be everywhere at once. I have several friends and family members who hate being photographed (including my husband!), but Jud managed to get very happy, relaxed shots of everyone. They are super fun, and some of the best candids of my family members I’ve ever seen. He completely captured the fun of the evening.

Jud did an excellent job covering our wedding. We always had the sense that he was around, but we were never posed or pushed into a photo. He was very easy going and professional, and when we got our pictures we were absolutely delighted! All our special moments were captured with several shots to choose from, as were some moments we didn’t even know had happened till we saw the pictures. Everyone who looked at our pictures had the same “these are awesome” reaction and we’d like to thank Jud for capturing our special day.

We were thrilled with the photos that you took of our rehearsal party and wedding.  The photos, in particular the ‘candid’ portraits, are both more vibrant and more thoughtful than traditional wedding photos and we will treasure them. Many of our guests commented on how unobtrusive you were at the ceremony and what a great host you were at the photo booth set-up, during the reception.  We were happy to have you as part of our wedding and our photos really capture the spirit of the whole weekend.

I have used Jud McCrehin for both of my daughters’ senior photos. It’s one of those special moments in a child’s life that you want to capture in just the right way, which is why I chose him.

My husband Ryan and I live in Washington State but decided to have a June wedding in Warrenton, Va., the town where we met and Ryan grew up. From our home in Washington, Ryan and I scoured the Internet for wedding photographers throughout the Northern Virginia area. We looked everywhere. If we found photography that we loved, the price was outside our budget. If we found something within our budget, we often didn’t like the style or quality. Finally, we stumbled on Jud’s website. I was immediately struck by his photojournalist style. His work looks real and full of emotion. Rather than everyone posed in awkwardly forced stances, you could easily imagine the moment. I also liked that he wasn’t just a wedding photographer.

My husband and I received numerous compliments on our wedding photos. There were so many wonderful moments that Jud captured and he did so in a way that did not intrude on the celebration of the day. Jud’s talents go beyond taking the photos you hope for, he captures the images you could not even dream of. He was not only a professional photographer he was also very kind, patient, and had a positive outlook the entire time. Even though Jud is a one man show, the images he captured were of various prospective and angles, you would have thought there was an entire production team working for our wedding.

I could not be happier with the images that Jud McCrehin captured on our wedding day. He was always capturing the moment without us even knowing. Its hard for us to pick which pictures to get printed because we love all of them! If you choose Jud as your photographer, you have made a great choice!

If you are searching for a professional, friendly, creative, flexible, and unobtrusive photographer who will capture your most important photos, Jud is the guy for you! As soon as we met him, we knew that Jud was the right man for the job. He completely understood our aesthetic (urban, fun, and non-traditional) and his photo-journalistic style was exactly what we were looking for. The day was a blur but Jud made sure to get all of the critical shots and a whole lot more. His photos included posed portraits, photo-booth shots (which are priceless!), and candids that reflected the best and funniest moments of the day, some of which we had completely missed. Jud’s a great guy and talented photographer. We recommend him without hesitation.

When I met Jud I knew he was the right guy for the job.  He’s very easy to work with and will do whatever you want. In addition, my family liked Jud alot. He’s got a great personality that makes everyone feel comfortable. As important as getting good photos, I found it was really important to surround myself with low-stress people throughout the wedding planning process.  Jud was one of those people.  Once the contract was signed, I never worried about whether he would show up on time, or bagging out at the last minute or having camera malfunctions . . . these are the nightmares that can make a bride lose her mind. And as an extra-added touch that I felt demonstrated his professionalism, Jud posted my photos of the wedding before he cashed the check I gave him for the second half of the contract price. In my mind, it wasn’t necessary, but I think it speaks volumes in terms of who you are dealing with.  Jud is a person who truly cares about his work and isn’t out to take advantage of you.

Kate and Norm--Arlington, Virginia

I was married this past April, and Jud seemed to be everywhere all at once. We have thousands of photos – that’s really incredible for just one man in a short window of time! His technique is top-notch – he grabs all the unscripted moments, and I hardly even noticed he was around everywhere we were! If your budget won’t allow for two photographers, Jud is an awesome choice because he seems to be everywhere all at once. His energy is unmatched. He seemed to never stop taking photos. He is a journalist, so he knows the importance of a great photo to tell a story, and he understands well working in a short time window while moments are flying by.
