Real People
Real Moments
Jud McCrehin Photography specializes in telling stories through images whether it be at a wedding, engagement or portrait session. I want the images to show the essence of who you are. I’m a photojournalist and not a photographer who just shoots in a “photojournalist style.” To me, photojournalism is the art of visual story telling; of quiet observation of people and events, with the goal of finding unguarded moments of emotional honesty and present them in the most beautiful and natural way possible. Because it is the unbridled emotion (joy, surprise, love, sadness, melancholy, longing, and so many more) that truly tell a story. This is the strength that I bring to every event. Each person, moment and venue are different, so you will never see the exact same images from me.
I shoot events throughout Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland and occasionally farther. Contact me to learn more and discuss your needs.
About

Welcome
I’m Jud, an award-winning professional photojournalist who lives and works in Northern Virginia just outside Washington D.C.
Jud McCrehin Photography LLC was started in 2007 when a friend asked me to photograph her wedding. At first, I didn’t think I would like covering weddings and events. As it turns out, it is really fun and gives me the opportunity to make some truly unique images of people having the time of their lives.
